Kathryn's love of the natural world inspires her to create functional and decorative ceramic pieces influenced by natures elements, textures, patterns, colours and form.

Reminiscing childhood memories and memories with her children, her work is strongly influenced by the ocean and natural environments.

The thrill and excitement of looking down into the rockpools and shorelines, through the layers of rock, searching for the limpets, starfish, shells and other sea life that may dwell at the bottom.

Her work is created using a variety of handbuilding techniques such as pinching, coiling, slabbing and using these in combinations, the clay is shaped into the many various vessels and sculptures.
